Presentation Guidelines

When preparing your presentation please keep the following considerations in mind:

  • Your audience will be scientifically literate but not specialist in your field;
  • Please keep rigidly to the allocated time (as agreed with your session organiser) in order to allow sufficient time for audience interaction;
  • In order to maximise the impact of your presentation, please ensure that any PowerPoint slides are audience-friendly: e.g. pictures should be preferred over text.
  • We are advocating a 10/15/30 Rule: 10 slides; 15 minutes and 30 point font.
