Science-2- Business at ESOF2012 offered a unique opportunity for creative minds to showcase their innovation / invention at Europe’s largest general science conference to some of the most pioneering minds in science and industry.
Appliccants were asked to submit a pitch of their innovation. The top 15 applicants were chosen to pitch their innovation in three minutes or less to a panel of distinguished judges comprising of experts from both academia and industry. The competition took place on Thursday 12th July at the Convention Centre, Dublin.
The top 15 pitches were shortlisted to compete at Europe’s largest general science conference. The winning pitch received€500 and an Apple iPAD, with two runners-up receiving €250

ENTRY CRITERIA
The research/innovation should not have received any funding/investment (including grants) in exchange for equity/ownership except in the case where an academic research institution may have whole/part ownership of the intellectual property assets of the innovation.
- Entries will be assessed by a panel of judges.
- Entries will be anonymised during the judging process.
- Each of the questions will be awarded points as stated below.
- The judges decision is final.
