Lilo and Stitch is rated PG, no5 for language, but for mild sci-fi action. Other western countries such as Finland, Norway, and Switzerland gave this film that incidated it's not appropriate for children under 7. Keep in mind, these countries are cultural more liberal than the US, even in 2002.

An original version of a scene for the film included Stitch and his friends hijacking an airplane to try and save Lilo, causing it to crash through buildings in a busy city. Due to the September 11 attacks, this scene was shortened and revised to an alien ship crashing into mountains.
